Relevant Work Experience:  A Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee is a trustworthy professional.  Tevis must step up and take a leadership position in each assigned bankruptcy estate. He must teach debtors, creditors and parties of interest about the process and explain their rights and responsibilities. He is asked to creatively solve problems. He says his role as a Trustee incorporates four passions: leadership, teaching, creative problem solving and service to the community. These are the same passions that, he says, will make him a very effective international director.

Education:  University of California, Berkeley, BS, Finance; Golden Gate University, MBA, Management 

Hobbies and Interests:  Golf, skiing, and being a grandparent.

Volunteer Experience:  President, Woodside Elementary Parent Facility Club; Board member, Oak Grove Middle School and Ygnacio Valley High School; President and 16-year volunteer, Diablo Dolphins Swim Team; Salvation Army Thanksgiving Volunteer; and numerous other groups as leader or helper.

Honors/Recognition Inside Toastmasters:  President’s Distinguished Area Governor, Area Governor of the Year, District 57 Toastmaster of the Year, and Excellence in Education & Training

Honors/Recognition Outside Toastmasters:  Glorietta Elementary School Safety Patrolman of the Year, Foothill Athletic League All-Star Football Team.

Qualifications for Service:  Tevis says his passion and experience as a leader has prepared him to be a strong, effective participant in Toastmasters highest level of leadership, the Board of Directors. His passion for teaching and his accumulated skill will allow him to train and motivate district leaders. His passion for creative problem solving will allow him to respond calmly and appropriately to crisis. Finally, his passion for community service supports Toastmasters International’s mission.

Personal Information:  Tevis and his wife, Pamela, reside in Martinez, CA. Tevis has three daughters, two stepsons and a stepdaughter.  Together, there are fifteen grandchildren.
